NOTICE OF MEETING

All stakeholders including residents, property and business owners, people who work in Wilmington, members of non-profit, educational, church and service organization, representatives of local labor unions and participants at local parks and museums are encouraged to participate in the Wilmington Neighborhood Council (WNC).  The WNC and you can make a difference in the delivery of City services to our community.

 

Comment from the public on non-agenda items within the jurisdiction of the WNC will be heard during the Public Comment period.  Public Comment is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker unless waived by the presiding officer of the WNC.

·       PCAC:  Information Items from PCAC Agenda dated July 17, 2007.

1.     Motion:  The WNC Executive Board recommends to the WNC Governing Board that the WNC support PCAC Informational Item 1 adopted by the Wilmington Waterfront Development Subcommittee.

2.     Motion:  The WNC Governing Board recommends to the WNC Governing Board that the WNC not support PCAC Informational Item 2 adopted by the Air Quality Subcommittee.

3.     Motion:  The WNC Executive Committee recommends to the WNC Governing Board that the WNC not support PCAC Informational Item 3 adopted by the Air Quality Subcommittee.

 

·       WNC Traffic Committee

1.     Letter to 15th Council District regarding BNSF Watson Yard tank car storage.

2.     Letter to City Council member Wendy Greuel regarding COLA traffic regulations for the parking of commercial vehicles.

 

·       Wilmington/Harbor City Community Plan

1.     Motion:  The WNC Executive Board recommends to the WNC Governing Board that the letter addressed to the Mayor, City Planning Director and 15th Council District requesting that the above referenced community plan be opened for consideration of revisions be approved.

 

·       Center for Creative Land Recycling Funding Workshop

1.     Motion:  The WNC Executive Board recommends to the WNC Governing Board approval of the allocation of $100.00 for tuition to attend CCLR’s Grant Funding Workshop on October 18th for the purpose of obtaining funding for a study of the Banning Village proposal.

 

·       WNC Community Questionnaire

1.     Motion:  The WNC Executive Board recommends to the WNC Governing Board approval of the questionnaire for distribution and use with the addition of the WNC’s e-mail address, a space for the e-mail address of the respondent and a notice to use the back of the sheet for additional comments.

 

·       Wilmington Police National Night Out

1.     Motion:  The WNC Executive Board recommends to the WNC Governing Board approval of the allocation of $200.00 to supply sodas and water for the event on August 7th.

 

·       Back to School Function – 1st Christian Church of Wilmington

1.     Motion:  The WNC Executive Board recommends to the WNC Governing Board the WNC supply various school supplies for Wilmington students attending the event on August 26th.
